Recap: 2024 Spencer-RIMS Risk Management Challenge

Congratulations to the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM) Hyderabad for achieving first place in the 2024 RM Challenge!

The Risk Management Challenge is a 7-month-long competition for students, where university teams compete to develop and present a comprehensive risk management program based on a company’s case study. In 2024, 144 students across 38 university teams participated in the Challenge. The student teams represented nine different countries: Canada, China, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and USA. Twenty-two of the teams were first-time applicants, and six of the universities were Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs). Based on the solutions they developed for the case study, the top eight teams were invited to present their strategies at the 2024 RIMS RISKWORLD Conference in San Diego, CA, USA.
