Spencer’s goal to help build a talent pipeline of Risk Management and Insurance professionals is achieved in part by our collaboration with Risk Management and Insurance educators across the United States and Canada.
Since 2010, Spencer has awarded over $3.3 million in General Grants to support over 130 student-centered experiential learning initiatives at universities and RMI non-profit orgs.
Application Criteria
TIMELINE:
2026 Application Opens: May 1, 2025
2026 Application Deadline: July 30, 2025
General Grant awardees are typically notified at the end of October.
DESCRIPTION:
Eligible Organizations:
Proposals will be considered from educational organizations (public and private) as well as eligible tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)3 and 501 (c) 6 of the Internal Revenue Code. Spencer does not accept proposals from for-profit organizations.
Eligible Requests:
All requests must fall into the following two critical branches:
1. Provide experiential learning opportunities for Risk Management and Insurance students
2. Attract new talent to the industry.
