Spencer Kicks Off 2022 Fundraising Season with $250K Pledges from Lockton Companies, Travelers
FEBRUARY 3, 2022 – The Spencer Educational Foundation has received a $250,000 pledge from The Travelers Companies, Inc. and a $250,000 pledge from Lockton Companies. Both pledges signify continued lasting partnerships and strong endorsements for the Foundation’s programming and events.
These pledges, both paid over a five-year timeline, will support Spencer’s mission of funding the future of the risk management and insurance industry by providing critical funds for education and experiential learning opportunities. A portion of the gifts will also be earmarked for the creation of the Travelers named scholarship and the continuation of the existing John T. Lockton Memorial Scholarship that has been awarded since 2005.
“We are thrilled to continue our existing partnership with Lockton and formalize our long-time partnership with Travelers through these multi-year gifts,” said Spencer Executive Director Megan Miller. “Having such generous, dedicated support from our industry partners allows us to further our mission by leaps and bounds, ensuring a strong and bright future for Insurance and Risk Management.”

The Spencer Educational Foundation’s events aim to raise funds to support Spencer’s five programs while also celebrating the risk management and insurance industry, including bringing together RMI professionals in different capacities.
