Spencer Educational Foundation Awards Over $1.8 Million in 2024 to Elevate Risk Management and Insurance Education

 

More than 20,000 Students Impacted Through 2024 Programs and Scholarships

 

New York, NY (December 13, 2024) - The Spencer Educational Foundation, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting education in risk management and insurance, is wrapping up another exceptional year after awarding $1.83 million to students and the organizations that educate them. The Foundation’s 2024 success is a testament to the leadership of Spencer’s 26-member Board of Directors and small but mighty staff of four.

 

Spencer made a positive impact on the lives of more than 20,000 aspiring risk management and insurance professionals in 2024 by awarding 105 Scholarships, 31 Internship Grants, 26 Risk Manager on Campus Grants, 24 General Grants, 14 Course Development Grants, and 40 Risk Management Challenge stipends and awards.

Spencer partners with major industry players to execute on its mission of funding the next generation of Risk Management and Insurance leaders.  Of note, the Foundation received a $1M pledge from FM in 2024 along with generous funding from the Alliant Insurance Foundation to implement programming.  Spencer also benefits from sponsorship and significant in-kind support from RIMS, the risk management society.
